Panasonic has developed a robotic drug dispenser that will help pharmacists in doling out drugs to the patients. This will be the Japanese electronics giant’s first step into the robotics.
Although Panasonic isn’t the first player to develop drug dispensing robots, it looks that the company is all set to become a major player in a field that is still developing.
Panasonic will sell the robots in Japan starting from March, while it plans to enter USA and Europe markets later.
The robot doesn’t look humanoid; rather it looks like a cabinet with lots of small drawers. The robot will be connected to electronic medical records and will roam within the hospital, collecting all the patient prescriptions. Pharmacist will then put drugs into robot, which then will sort out them for different patients, placing them into different drawers bearing the names of each patient.
It can sort out prescriptions for 400 patients in 2 hours, thus saving time for pharmacists.
However, the robot would cost several hundreds of thousands of dollars.

Michael Jackson’s brain was missing in the golden casket in which his body was laid to rest. The toxicology experts who are trying to identify the reason for the fatal heart attack the pop king had suffered have retained his brain.
As the body was not buried yet, it is possible that the brain may be put back inside the body before the burial.
The whereabouts of the body is unclear and it is speculated that it may be in the mortuary at Forest Lawn Cemetery – Hollywood’s “cemetery of the stars.
Fans feel that his body may be buried at his Neverland Ranch. There is also rumor that MJ will be buried wearing a white glove, which is one of his styles.

The latest and hot news in Hollywood is that Kristen Stewart is pregnant. She said to one of her close friend that she is pregnant. According to NW “Kristen tells Rob I am pregnant”. Both Kristen and Robert worked together in the film “TWILIGHT” and the sequel of that movie has also been taken. Kristen asked one of her friends to buy a testing kit and she doesn’t want to be seen in a drug shop. Kristen really came to know about this when she hadn’t had her period. They both are very nervous that they could be parents. She is very nervous that she is pregnant.

It’s unbelievable, but true! Google has officially announced the launch plans of Chrome OS, which would be introduced in netbooks in later half of 2010. It will be an open source, light weight platform that can power all kinds of computers ranging from small netbooks to full size desktop systems. It can run on Intel Atom and ARM chips.
Acer, Adobe, ASUS, Freescale, Hewlett-Packard, Lenovo, Qualcomm, and Texas Instruments – these are the companies that have collaborated with Google to develop the new operating system. But Dell is conspicuous by its absence.
Google also clears the air about the overlap between Android and Chrome OS by saying that, “choice will drive innovation for the benefit of everyone, including Google.”
Google is already in talks with several OEM manufacturers and it is likely that Chrome OS will be running in several netbooks coming out in later half of next year.

Rakesh Roshan’s effort to launch his son Hrithik Roshan in the international arena received a jolt as his movie ‘Kites’ failed to evoke a good response in the Cannes Film festival, as a result of which there were no buyers for the movie.
Starring Hrithik Roshan, Kangana Ranaut and Mexican actress Barbara Mori among others, Kites is also made in English in order to give Hrithik a global launch.
The movie had been sold at a huge price to Reliance, which was keen to recover the major portion of the expenditure by finding big buyers at Cannes which ultimately did not materialize.

Starred by Akshay Kumar and directed by Sabir Khan, this movie is nothing but a crap. This movie is full of vulgarity and to make the matters worse, the plot of the movie is lifted from Kamal Haasan starrer Pammal.K.Sambandam, a super hit tamil movie that released many years ago. The original movie was a family entertainer with numerous hilarious moments. Kamal, the protagonist in the Tamil version in which he is a stunt man who dislikes women but finally falls for a lady doctor enacted by Simran.
Coming to the Hindi version, Vijay Shergill (Akshay Kumar) is a Hollywood stunt man who beds woman at the drop of a hat (the only difference between the two versions) and Simrita Rai (Kareena Kapoor) is the female lead who is a medico and a part time model.
Simrita hates males and so whenever Vijay and Simrita meet each other due to various circumstances, there is a lot of foul-mouthing between the two. There is a situation where Vijay gets operated upon by Simrita, she accidentally drops her musical watch inside the stomach of Vijay. Then the plot revolves around retrieving the watch by the heroine and finaly falling in love with him.
People who had seen the Tamil version would now find the similarities between the two. Believe me, no one can take a movie as vulgar and bad as this one. This movie is quite an example how to waste the excellent star cast that includes Hollywood greats like Sylvester Stallone, Denise Richards and Brandon Routh and the 60 crore rupees that has gone in making this movie has gone into thrash.

Motorola is planning to launch the special edition of one of its most expensive mobile phone ‘Aura’ in near future. This special edition which celebrates the 40th anniversary of moon landing is aptly named Celestial edition.
It is to be noted that it was a Motorola radio transponder aboard the Apollo 11 that relayed the first words and visuals from the moon to Earth.
There is also a laser etched code, “Motorola AURA Celestial Edition, Honoring the Apollo 11 mission, 20th July 1969″ embedded on it.
The sales will begin by July and as far as the pricing is concerned there should be no doubt that the cost would be more than the price of original Aura (£ 1200).

Jaguar and Land Rover (JLR), the iconic brands of Britain have officially arrived in India. Tata that bought JLR from Ford for $2.3 billion but since then, it has registered its first loss in eight years to a tune of around $520 million, leading to several lay offs in its JLR factory.
Tata has launched Jaguar XF, XFR and XKR and Land Rover Discovery 3, Range Rover Sport and Range Rover in India. The JLR range is priced between 6.3 and 9.2 million rupees. The company expects to sell Land Rover in large volumes, especially Freelander (3.2 million rupees), which is to be launched in October.
